International award winning fashion designer Daniel Hernández is a Hispanic-American entrepreneur born in Colombia South America, with awards out of New York, Las Vegas, Amsterdam, established brands such as Banana Republic and Alfred Fiandaca. Hernández is an stablished artist out of Boston since 2002 and has been published in several cities in the united states, Italy, France and Latin America.
Hernández heads DH Studios Inc., a life-Style brand awarded the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2006 “Young Entrepreneur for Massachusetts and New England” Daniel studied at Boston’s School of Fashion Design on Newbury Street, and in Paris at the abroad program of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology.
In March 2010, Hernández received first prize in the inaugural international contest for fashion designers, in a web-based competition, presented by JUSTPROUD.com, described as “the first community- driven fashion brand.” Hernández’ s designs were selected from among those entered by 72 designers, representing a dozen countries. He then had the opportunity to create the first fashion collection for that company, whose headquarters is in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Daniel has a strong connection to his community and uses his talents to improve his surroundings. A firm believer in continuing education, Daniel supports the Boston Center for Adult Education in which he has been teaching for over ten years. Daniel is fluent in English, Spanish and French. Recently he was invited to teach a beauty class in Harvard University entitled “Cosmetics 101”
